Greetings from the West Texas Headquarters of Jingoistic Gun Ownin' Huge Carbon Footprint Leavin' Four Wheel Drive Pickup Drivin' Angry Conspiratorial Mob Members.

This past week has been a little less hectic for us than was the previous week. We are preparing for colder weather over the Thanksgiving Holiday. And before I take another step, let me wish you and your families a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING. My good wife has already baked one home made pumpkin pie which has sat unmolested for several hours now. I cannot promise that this state will last through the night.

LAZY:

Down through the years I have noticed that the American Public has begun to accept certain practices as standard when to me all it indicates is pure laziness on the part of many people. This came to my mind as I was watching a movie a couple of days back which starred Al Pacino. The movie was "Scent Of A Woman". And although the movie drug a bit in spots I enjoyed one of the final scenes in which Al Pacino as a retired blind Army Lt. Colonel was giving a college professor a piece of his mind. In his statement Pacino made the statement that in his past he had known the exact right course to take on every occasion. But he didn't take that course because it was "Too Damned Hard".

The next morning I picked up our edition of the (Sub) Standard Times and when I got to the Sports Page I noticed this following article headline in BOLD PRINT:

Chiefs dogged by TOs in loss. Of course I immediately knew that the Chiefs referred to the Lakeview Chiefs which is one of our local high schools. I was able to grasp the meaning of the word loss but the "TOs" had me puzzled for a moment. Then I realized that the person who wrote this article was attempting to be really cutting edge on his descriptive terms.

Now for those of you residing in the "People's Republic of San Francisco" the "TOs" being referred to was NOT Terrell Owens.... Nor was it Tommy Overstreet..... No after you read a few lines you realized that he had used the term "TOs" instead of spelling out the word TURNOVERS. If you will stop and think, our society has pretty much abandoned proper English and has begun to depend upon acronyms and initials over normal words.

Of course for years we have all known about the: F.B.I.---the C.I.A.---the BATF---the DEA---the NFL--- and of course the acronyms for your various television networks. But it has been pretty much a relatively recent practice to just reduce everything down to capitol letters. I believe that it all pretty much started out with basketball announcers and football announcers who have reduced descriptive English down to something like:

J - which indicates a jump shot in basketball

D- which indicates defense in both football and basketball

DH - Designated Hitter in baseball

NPR - National Public Radio

And of course the list goes on and now I suppose that TO now stands for turnovers.

But what it all really indicates to me is pure ass laziness on the part of our so called professional reporters and announcers. I suppose that this all goes back to what is now acceptable in our Public (Government) Education System. Apparently spelling and correct rules of grammar are now things which are unimportant to those who are currently in charge of these entities. Correct answers are now apparently not all that important to today's Progressives/Socialists. But when you really look close it is nothing more than taking charge of the masses by dumbing down our society through an incompetent education system.

When you have newspaper reporters who do NOT know the difference between: They're; There; and Their; then that is just the kind of writing that the American public is willing to accept. Some morning just take the time to carefully read your local newspaper and see just how incompetent many of the writers of the articles really are, when it comes to using correct spelling, rules of grammar, or correct wording.

My point on this whole rant is that if WE, as American Citizens, are willing to accept sub-standard performance in reporting and writing, the we will be willing to accept sub-standard performances in all areas of our life. And I believe that most of you will agree that at the present time, we are being held hostage by professional politicians who are all willing to accept low standards and perform at the same level.

No, the use of TO instead of turnover is not a pivotal moment in any of our lives, but to me it indicates pure LAZINESS on the part of not only the writers but the public as well.

So in parting I will simply say that if these boobs cannot get back to doing things correctly then they can KMA. (For those of you currently being held hostage in the Freedom Loving Worker's Province of Boston, the"K" stands for KISS; and the "M" stands for MY). You might need to get some help to figure out what the "A" stands for.)

So I suppose, like Al Pacino's character in the movie, to use proper writing techniques is "Just too damned hard".

TRIAL:

We all heard about the terrorist trial of Ahmed Ghailani in which he was convicted of ONE COUNT of Conspiracy To Destroy U.S. Property, and found NOT GUILTY of over 280 other felony counts including 224 counts of MURDER. But during all this fiasco of a civilian jury trial of this terrorist we were assured by the Obama administration that even if this murdering terrorist had been acquitted on all counts, he would still not be released.

OK. If the Obama administration had no intentions of releasing this turd, the question comes to my mind: Why was he tried at all? Why was tax money spent on an expensive jury trial? And believe me when I tell you that a jury trial is quite an expensive proposition and a completely unnecessary expenditure if this mutt was not going to be released anyway.

How much more of this crap is the American public willing to put up with? If this exercise in futility did not show that the United States Attorney's Office is under the control of incompetents, then nothing will.

When will the so called Conservative Republicans begin to think of doing what is right for the country instead of what is the best course of action to assure their own re-election?

GREEN:

The other morning I turned on my car radio and got in during a conversation with a "Greenie" who really came up with some top notch suggestions for saving energy and reducing our carbon footprint.

Of course the first suggestion was for us all to completely give up the consumption of ALL MEAT.

The second thing was for us all to give up driving our automobiles. And if we could not get to our jobs on foot or by bicycle then we could at least give up driving our automobiles on the week ends.

Then the third suggestion was to stop using our indoor bathroom facilities. I never did get where we were being asked to relieve ourselves, whether it was on our own property or perhaps sneaking over to our neighbor's yard to do our business.

As I was listening to this boob the thought struck me that these so called Greenies must all possess brains the size of marbles, only twice as smooth. And apparently these idiots who profess all this stuff have never been to Colorado; Northern New Mexico; Kansas; Nebraska; Minnesota; Wyoming; Montana; North Dakota; South Dakota; Alaska; Buffalo New York; or Idaho during the winter months. The winter temps in those places along with the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma would seriously limit one relieving themselves in the great outdoors.

These idiots could better spend their waking hours in trying to figure out why Goofy can talk and Pluto can't. Or perhaps devote their lives in attempting to teach earthworms how to juggle.

Last night I listened to Charles Krauthammer on the O'Reilly Factor. Dr. Krauthammer pointed out that he thought that this artillery attack on S. Korea by N. Korea was intended to get more concessions out of the U.N. He pointed out that on almost every occasion when N.Korea was about to go under insofar as feeding their people, they would make some overt move and the U.N. would capitulate and give them some handouts. I am more inclined to believe Dr. Krauthammer's take on the situation than I am Bill O'Reilly's.

This week end many of the Texas High Schools who have made the state playoffs are entering either the Regional or Quarter-final rounds. The also rans have pretty much been eliminated and we are now down to some really top teams. This week end here in San Angelo we will host a regional playoff game between Snyder (10-2) and Monahans (12-0). I am planning on attending this contest. I read earlier today where we are expecting some pretty cold weather so I will spend the rest of this afternoon getting my cold weather gear together.

Many years back comedian George Carlin did a comedy bit about the differences between baseball and football. Keep in mind, this was prior to Carlin feeling as if he had to use vulgar language in every sentence in order to be funny. He actually did some pretty good stuff back then. One of the differences he pointed out was the names of the players: In baseball you had Mickey; Bobby; Freddie; and Warren............. In football you had; Nitschke; Butkus; Nagurski; and O'Bradovich................Baseball was played at a park.....................Football was played at a stadium.......In football you used blasts up the middle, short bullet passes and long bombs in order to get into enemy territory and finally reach the end zone................. In baseball the objective was to go home. Anyway it was a really funny bit and each time I saw him perform this bit he would add some extra differences.

With this in mind I thought back to these high school playoffs and noted that just around our area we had some high school players who had some really cool names:

Dakota Rawls

Dakota Ward

Josh Calunga

and my personal favorite:

RILEY RAMBO.

Man with a name like Riley Rambo you've got to be tough.

Seriously though my congratulations go out to all these young men who played this year whether they made the playoffs or not. They are playing for all the right reasons and I had rather watch these high school athletes than any other level. The various State Championship Games in every state are really worth watching.

Greetings from the West Texas Headquarters For Vast Right Wing Jingoistic Conspirators.

ARTICLES:

Earlier this week in the (Sub) Standard Times an article caught my eye. The author of this article was a Martha Mendoza. The headline for this article was:

Data Find U.S. - Mexico Border Not So Dangerous

One must wonder if Ms. Mendoza has found another country called U.S. which shares a common border with another country called Mexico. She goes on to point out that Border Patrol Agents face far less danger than street cops in most U.S. cities. She also stated that the top four big cities in America with the lowest rates of violent crime are all in border states: San DIego, Phoenix, El Paso and Austin. But when you read the article carefully and can read a map you might notice that Austin, Texas is NOT near the Mexican border and and Phoenix, AZ is well over 100 miles from the border.

Of course Ms. Mendoza shares the same view as HHS Secretary Janet Napolitano that "The border is safer now than it's ever been." One must wonder if this woman was overcome by an attack of lunacy, OR is she lying? Of course a fourth possibility also exists and that possibility must call into question her competence.

There is rarely a day passes that you don't read or hear of mass murders of public officials in Mexico. It took Jesse Owens longer to win the 100 meter dash in the 1936 Berlin Olympics than is the present life expectancy of one of the Mexican Border Town's Police Chiefs. Now while I do not live near the U.S. Mexican border I will wager I have made just about as many if not more trips to Mexico as have most people.

Years ago some friends and I made at least two trips per year to Lake Novillo located in the Sierra Madre Mountains. The fishing was the greatest I have ever experienced. We stayed in a very small village which at that time had no electricity and no running water. The people who lived in that village were some of the nicest people I was ever around. But I did learn one thing and that was that they lived in abject terror of the Mexican Army and Federal Police. They told us of several occasions in the past when the troops would converge on their village and would threaten and beat the crap out of women and children until they got the information they were after. Of course the residents of those little villages owned no firearms and were at the mercy of the Federals OR anyone posing as a Federal Officer. Now I am pretty sure that the crime rates in those little villages were pretty low but those towns and cities along the border or even close to the border were a completely different story.

I really hate to say that Ms. Mendoza is full of crap, but she is.

Later on, I read still another article which had this headline:

Fatal Border Shooting Draws Barbs - This masterpiece actually took two incompetents to reach the finished product. They were Christopher Sherman AND Olivia Torres.

Then the article goes on to report a shooting of "A 15 year old boy" had occurred in the crime free city of El Paso. According to this article this 15 year old youth was attempting to enter the state of Texas ILLEGALLY an began throwing rocks at officers at an international bridge near downtown El Paso.

I am sure that you will all be surprised that this event "drew sharp criticism from the Mexican government. Let's look at this for a moment. "Drew Sharp Criticism From The Mexican Government". I am not sure, but I believe that perhaps Rhett Butler might have put it best when he said "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."

The article went on to say that this was the SECOND death of a Mexican at the hands of the Border Patrol officers in less than two weeks. The article went on to say that Arturo Sandoval, a spokesman for the Chihuahua Attorney General's office said that a spent .40 MM shell (I am sure these brain surgeons meant .40 caliber which is roughly a 10 MM round) was found near the body and was basically attempting to say that the U.S. Border Patrol Agents had crossed the international border which would be in Mexico, although he did not explicitly make that suggestion.

A U.S. official, meanwhile, said that a video shows that the Border Patrol Agent DID NOT ENTER MEXICO. Evidently the video does show what appear to be four Mexican law enforcement officers driving to the edge of a dry but muddy bed of the Rio Grande, walking across to the U.S. side and pick up an object and return to Mexico near the area where the 15 year old boy's body was.

The Border Patrol Agents were responding to a group of illegal aliens being smuggled into the U.S. Then later today on FOX News, they showed a photograph of this 15 year old youth AND revealed the fact that this 15 year old boy was a known smuggler and had been arrested in the United State a number of times in the past and had been deported at least 5 times..

All this goes to show that this varmint brought rocks to a gun-fight. Now what remains to be seen is whether or not the Obama administration will attempt to make an example out of the Border Patrol Agents like they attempted with that last group of Navy SEALs.

And just to make another point, I have seen a number of video pieces taken along the U.S. Mexican border where illegal aliens began throwing rocks at U.S. Border Patrol Agents. I remember seeing one Border Patrol Agent being struck in the head and knocked unconscious.

I can also remember working homicides where the victim was killed with a rock or heavy brick.

One must wonder if perhaps these illegal aliens learned the rock throwing tactics from the Palestinians who seem to enjoy rock throwing. It doesn't work well with the Israelis and apparently doesn't work all that well with the U.S. Border Patrol.

D-DAY:

Of course as we all know, last Sunday, June 6th was a day which has been known ever since June 6, 1944 as D-DAY. No it is not a holiday BUT it is a day on which we should remember a huge piece of our history and we should pay honor to all those took part in this largest amphibious assault in history. It is a day on which we should always COMMEMORATE rather than celebrate.

I thought sure that our local liberal rag would have quite a bit of coverage but when I picked up the local (Sub) Standard Times, there was nothing on the front page. However on page 6 in section 1 there was a story with the headlines reading:

Workers Reinforcing Cliffs Rangers Conquered On D-Day.

The entire article was dedicated to this reinforcing project. Of course the cliffs were at Pointe du Hoc. On June 6, 1944 the Army Rangers scaled the cliffs to put out of commission six 155 mm Nazi howitzers. Of the 235 men who took on the cliffs, only 90 were fit for battle two days later. The rest were either dead or wounded.

I just thought it a real shame that in the near future, our school children will not even have an idea of D-Day is all about or World War II for that matter.

Also on D-Day one would have thought that the History Channel would have shown a number of really good programs about D-Day and WW II. But instead, the History Channel showed an Ice Road Truckers and Pawn Stars marathon. A damn shame.

MORE STUFF:

It has been a little over a week now since we all heard the tragic news regarding the split-up of Al and Tipper Gore.

This news carved out a place in my totem pole of importance just a hair behind the split up of Boy George and the Culture Club. And that tragic event was right along in there with the break-up of the Jackson Five.

Actually none of those tragic event should put any of us in a higher tax bracket. Probably ol' fat ass Al Gore is the only one who will be in a different tax bracket.

Hey!! I just thought of a project that Al Gore could get involved in. He could join up with those idiots on the TV Series "Whale Wars" Now I don't know if any of you have ever watched this program but if you have, you will understand. If you haven't, try to watch a couple of episodes.

Now I have nothing against whales. And I don't particularly like to see them killed but harvesting a certain number of whales is permitted and most of the folks involved in the whaling industry are from Japan. Of course the Japanese use every bit of the whale for a various number of products including food. Whale meat doesn't sound particularly appetizing to me but neither does squash.

This fat bozo who is the chief character in this anti-whaling group was actually one of the founders of "Green Peace". OK now get ready for this. "Green Peace" KICKED HIM OUT OF THEIR ORGANIZATION for being too radical. When you are too radical for "Green Peace" you have hit the bottom of the barrel.

This guy owns a pretty decent sized ship equipped with several speed boats and a helicopter. They go around and locate Japanese whaling vessels and they just basically harass them by getting close and throwing various types of stink-bombs and on occasion they will get in their speed boats and cut across the bow of the Japanese ships and on some occasions they will even BOARD the whaling ships. However I believe that the Japanese are pretty sick of these folks' game and they held one of the crew and took him to Japan to try him for piracy. Good for the Japanese.

These people are against whaling and are trying to make complete pests of themselves. And they actually succeeded in getting a television program. They are nothing but environmental terrorists. And like most really far left wing boobs when things don't go their way, they begin to fight among themselves and are some really major league whiners.

I know I must be getting really old. The other morning I was standing in line to get my morning cup of coffee at the Baker Street Coffee Shop and I noticed a young man in front of me dressed in a really nice looking suit. A very clean cut young man. Anyway it came his turn to order and here is what he said; "I'll have a RUMPELSTILTSKIN to go." I kept my wits about me and made my order and went to our regular table and sat down. In a few minutes that young man's RUMPELSTILTSKIN was ready and he picked it up and left. It was in a tall coffee cup and had whipped cream on the top but I still don't know what the ingredients are. I do know that that one RUMPELSTILTSKIN cost him a little over $4.

I don't think I will order one as I could be laughed out of the joint by some rather conservative folks with whom I sit.

After Tuesday's elections, it sure appears that a bunch of the Democrat/Socialist/Progressive candidates are in a world of trouble. I really do believe that even some of the liberals are even beginning to realize that the world's most articulate and intelligent human has a few flaws. I noticed that he even used a tele prompter when addressing a high school senior class.

I am sure that you are all as saddened as am I over the news that Helen Thomas was forced into retirement due to some really stupid statements she made about Israel. I read several articles which said that "Helen Thomas" really turned ugly in her comments regarding the Jews.

I've got news for you all. Helen Thomas didn't "turn ugly". This old sow has been ugly for most of her life. I listened to this old bag speak on one occasion and she said that she felt that the American News Media was completely fair and certainly didn't lean to the left or give liberal politicians a pass. That statement told me that not only was she ugly, she had the intellectual depth of a lima bean. But ol' Helen proved a point I have been trying to make for many years. When people kiss your ass long enough, you begin to like it and expect it.

So besides having a face like a fried monkey, she appears to be a liar of the highest order.

Hello once again from the West Texas Regional Headquarters For Anti-Big Government Jingoistic Conspiratorial Believers In The United States Constitution.

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day and I know you all remembered the significance of that special day. I listened to one report of how one of the Hawaiian Senators had wanted to go back to celebrating Memorial Day on May 30th as it was for years. I do not agree with this Senator on much but I also would like to see us go back to celebrating that day by HONORING our fallen military heroes rather than viewing it as just another long 3 day week end. I know I am old fashioned but I think celebrating a certain day on the date intended makes us all realize the importance of that day.

My birthday is on April 23rd and it really doesn't matter on which day of the week it falls. April 23rd is still my birthday. I am just wondering at what point we will stop celebrating Christmas Day on December 25th and just move it to either the Monday or the Friday closest to that date. As a matter of fact, I am wondering how many more years that Christmas will be a national holiday. We certainly have the President and the Congressional Leadership in place for it to either be moved or stricken or undergo a name change.

STUFF:

I just finished watching Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speak regarding the boarding of a Gaza bound Turkish ship. After seeing him I could only wish that we had a President of the United States who had the courage of Mr. Netanyahu.

Being bossy is light years away from being strong. The Israeli Prime Minister is STRONG. The President of the United States is merely bossy.

How do you figure that, you may ask?

It is pretty easy to see that Barack Hussein Obama appears to be merely a puppet for some larger organization. Almost without fail he speaks before he has all the facts. I will not bother with going back over the last year and count how many times his initial response was completely wrong. The professor and the policeman; The Fort Hood TERRORIST MURDERS are two which come to mind and of course the last couple of weeks, he and his incompetent administration have been attempting to convince the American people that British Petroleum have no interest in capping the gushing oil well in the gulf. It is almost as if they are trying to tell us that British Petroleum is happy with the situation.

Just stop and think for a moment and realize that if the 19,000 barrels per day is a correct estimate of the crude oil emptying into the Gulf of Mexico, at $60 per barrel just to toss in an even figure, British Petroleum is losing $1,140,000 per day in product alone. Of course then add in the cost of drilling the well and the cost of all of the equipment lost and the and the cost of the clean-up efforts and the cost of the failed attempts at capping the oil flow to date, and the funds which will be paid to the businesses who have been wiped out do to the spill and the funds which will be paid to the families of those killed in the explosion, I think you can all see that British Petroleum is probably the most concerned entity on the planet about bringing this crisis to an end.

I was listening to the radio a couple of days ago and one of the experts said that much of this lost oil could have been burned off BUT since the U.S. Government must approve all efforts at controlling this spill that would have been one of the best options, HOWEVER the ENVIRONMENTALISTS whined and our government caved in to these bozos.

I am certainly no expert on oil spills or drilling or any other phase of the oil business (or as they say in Texas "Awl Bidness") BUT I will wager to say that the average person in West Texas; Louisiana; Southeast New Mexico; and any other oil (awl) producing areas have a much better idea of the problem than do these bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.

My idea is for the federal government to get their asses out of the way and allow British Petroleum and other professionals do whatever is necessary to bring this stuff to a halt. Having some candy ass flunkey like Robert Gibbs get up before a microphone and talk about keeping their boot on the neck of British Petroleum is useless and only serves to show that Barack Hussein Obama is a worse judge of character than was George W. Bush.

Oh! But let us not forget that the Obama administration has been doing everything within their power to make this whole mess the fault of the Bush administration. They keep telling us that the Bush administration relaxed the oversight and regulation of the drilling companies. I will still submit that when you concentrate on oversight and regulation, all you do is increase the size of government, particularly the EPA. In my books, the EPA is the most out of control group on planet earth.

To prove this point I only have to refer to an article in our very own (Sub) Standard Times earlier in the week. The article is headlined with: EPA May Federalize Texas Air Program. The article goes on to explain how EPA Chief Al Armendariz said that the federal government would issue the operating permit for one refinery in Corpus Christi and planned to take over 39 other permits. He also informed us that "If we have to, we will. The takeover of a state program and the federalizing of a state program is a lengthy process and doesn't happen overnight." My question is why does it have to happen at all?

But the Obama administration appears to be only interested in control over every aspect of our lives and federalizing a state air program will just have to fall in line behind the federalizing of our banks; auto industry; and health care. Of course federalizing a state program would allow the federal government to hire more people and have them dependent upon the federal government for their very lives.

MORE STUFF:

I saw a small article and saw several reports on the TV News that a group of Police Chiefs from all over the United States met and reached the conclusion that Arizona's new immigration law and similar proposals in other states would lead to "An increase crime". Just exactly how these boobs arrived at that conclusion was not explained very well in the article other than using the Obama administration's worn out reasoning of: "Having to determine whether a person is in the United States illegally will break down the trust that police have built in communities and will divert law enforcement resources away from fighting crime."

Let me see if I have this straight. These illegal aliens have, through the years, developed a huge trust in law enforcement in their own countries so naturally they also have a trust in United States law enforcement agencies. One must wonder if these assorted Police Chiefs were all bitten on the backside by one rabid monkey or were they gang bitten by a whole troop of rabid simians? Whatever the case these Police Chiefs apparently have the intellectual depth of a turnip.

STILL MORE STUFF:

Again in an article from the (Below) Standard Times written by Greg Mauz. The article is headlined: We're Paying More -- For Lower Quality Gas. Finally someone is publicly recognizing the fact that ethanol is not the answer to our energy problems.

The article points out that in the author's midsize V6 sedan he had achieved 30 miles per gallon on regular un-leaded gasoline. When forced to use a fuel which was 10% ethanol, the mileage on the same vehicle dropped to 26 miles per gallon. He also points out that ethanol wears out engine parts more rapidly and DOES NOT IMPROVE AIR QUALITY. I also read another article which said that it takes 2 gallons of gasoline to make 3 gallons of ethanol.

Ethanol is the big lie and guess who is supporting all this crap? Right you are, the EPA.

Another article from the (Sub) Standard Times headlined: U.S. Officials Seek Change In Drug War Spending. The Obama administration wants to shift U.S. aid to Mexico away from high-priced equipment and aim the funds at judicial reforms and good governance programs. A Deputy Secretary of State said; "We are moving away from big-ticket items and toward programs that support Mexican capacity to sustain adherence to the rule of law and respect for human rights." Well now that finally makes some real sense since we all know just how high on the list of Mexican Government priorities "Human Rights" is. You can tell that "Human Rights" is terribly important in the cities of Juarez and Nuevo Laredo. Sure looks to me like that will be $310 Million Dollars well spent.

Mexico's Foreign Relations Secretary, Patricia Espinosa indicated that social programs in Ciudad Juarez would be the recipient of some of these funds.

This past week former Radio and TV Host Art Linkletter passed away at age 97. Apparently Mr. Linkletter had been ill only the few weeks prior to his death.

I can remember listening to him on the radio in pre-TV days when I was a young kid. I also remember watching him in the early days of television. He was always a very pleasant person and had to undergo some really sad problems in his family. I believe that he had a young daughter who became addicted to drugs and committed suicide.

I do not ever recall reading or hearing anything in a negative light about Mr. Linkletter. We needed more like him, especially now.

This week I also received an e-mail from Delores Edwards who is the widow of Rufus Edwards. She advise me of the death of her husband and told me that he looked forward to reading my weekly letter. I have never met the man in person but feel like I know what kind of a person he was from our e-mail communications. I was saddened to hear of his passing and would appreciate your prayers for his family. May he rest in peace.

This past week I watched a series of one hour programs on the NFL Channel. They were the "Top Ten" in a number of categories. One of them which caught my eye was the "Top Ten Clutch Quarterbacks" and of course there were the usual suspects; Unitas, Staubach, Montana, Elway, Marino,etc. Somewhere in the middle of the group maybe at about number 4 they had a quarterback who played for the Cleveland Browns from about 1950 through 1959. He was the Cleveland quarterback when I first began watching professional football on television. His name was Otto Graham. They also pointed out that he also played professional basketball in the NBA. What I thought was particularly interesting was the fact that he played professional football for 10 years. He had the Cleveland Browns in the Championship game each of those 10 years. He WON SEVEN of those ten games. I began thinking that I don't know who picks these top ten lists but I don't see how you can beat his performances. Also during those years he had a monster fullback named Marion Motley who was in a class pretty much by himself.

Also the coach of Cleveland during those years was Paul Brown. In watching some of the Cleveland offense back during those years by pure accident, Graham and Marion Motley ran the first draw play and it worked so well Paul Brown decided to keep it in their offense. Graham while being a really great down field passer would also dump of short stuff to his backs who would then make huge gains. Sort of sounds like the "West Coast Offense" doesn't it. But that can't be right because this was back in the 1950s.

Getting back to the Israeli Prime Minister vs. Barack Hussein Obama. Isn't it strange that when the Israeli military get into a shooting scrape that Mr. Netanyahu gives them his complete support whereas Barack Hussein Obama is looking for ways to prosecute his own military?

I believe that overall we have the finest and best equipped military forces in history. I personally find it rather comforting that we have for years been recognized as the leading country on planet earth. That is why it is sad to see a group of people like these Chicago thugs turn things into the clown show they are in the process of doing. I don't care if the clowns in Washington, D.C. make each other look foolish but when they start creating they type of atmosphere for our military which they are at present then it is time for the American people to get off their collective backsides and dump these mutts. Keep on your Senators and Congressmen. If they don't seem to be paying attention, send 'em packin'.

Greetings once again from the West Texas Branch Of Jingoistic Right Wing Conspiratorial Truck Drivin' Salt Usin' Ammunition Hoardin' Gun Owners.

Before I go any further, I imagine we have all received tons of communications regarding this alleged U.N. Treaty which would ban ownership of firearms by private citizens. This is a subject which we certainly should not take lightly but remember this: Unless the world's most intelligent and articulate human has managed to slip in a new U.S. Constitution, I believe that for ANY TREATY signed by a U.S. President to be valid, it must first be RATIFIED by a 2/3 majority vote in the U.S. Senate. So keep the pressure on your Senators. Actually, I cannot even imagine 2/3 of the Democrats voting to ratify such a treaty.

BORDER:

Even as I was writing last week's letter, President Barack Hussein Obama was busying himself with kissing the backside of Mexico's President Felipe Calderon. Of course we are all aware, I'm sure, that Calderon has the best interests of the United States in mind in his everyday duties as President of a third world Banana Republic.

Not only was Calderon treated to a State Dinner at the White House, he was also invited to address a Joint Session of Congress. And this is what pushed me into a state of rage.

This South of the Border Boob has apparently decided that he rather enjoys getting his ass kissed by the world's most articulate and intelligent human. And of course I imagine that under the Obama administration having foreign leaders come to our country and bad mouth and complain about how unfair and backward the United States really is, does not seem to be all that uncommon.

Of course Calderon had loads to say about the Arizona Immigration Legislation. But what really got my temperature up was watching the idiot Democrat elected officials give him a standing ovation for his complaints about one of our sovereign states. One must wonder if Calderon was ahead of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Attorney General Eric Holder, and at that time President Barack Hussein Obama, and actually READ the Arizona Legislation?

Actually, I suspect not since one of Calderon's statements was that the new Arizona Law suggests that "Racial Profiling" is acceptable. Of course the Arizona law says nothing of the kind and once again it appears that the main thing that President Calderon and President Obama have in common is the ability to lie to the public without a second thought.

Calderon also urged for the re-instatement of the Assault Weapons Ban. He suggested that the large amount of weapons in Mexico was all the fault of the United States. One must wonder if President Calderon has been bitten by a rabid monkey or is he just plain stupid. I think I will pick choice #2 since he has apparently lived in Mexico all of his life and should know that the only people in Mexico with firearms are:

The Mexican Government

Drug Cartel Members

Everyday Mexican citizens are PROHIBITED from owning or possessing firearms unless they have paid off someone in either the government or the drug cartels. So in fact the average Mexican citizen is UNARMED but is surrounded by criminals with guns. And yes, if it sounds like I am including the Mexican Government in that statement and calling them criminals then you are way more perceptive than is the Mexican President or the American President.

Calderon also made some statement about the North American Union which really sets me off. Keep in mind, our previous President, George W. Bush was a big North American Union supporter and I do not hesitate to place much of the blame on our border with Mexico being in such bad shape right in the lap of President Bush AND prior to that Presidents Clinton and Carter.

MORE BORDER STUFF:

I watched a couple of film clips of John McCain ranting about the deplorable shape of the Mexican Border across from Arizona. It really steams me to watch McCain acting all angry about the Border Fence not being complete and now he is screaming for National Guard Troops to be stationed along the Arizona/Mexico Border.

Funny. It seems to me as if several years back when the use of National Guard Troops along the border was suggested that McCain squealed like a baby pig caught under a gate that this was completely unnecessary and he was more interested in a "Path to citizenship" than he was in controlling the border.

Ah, but that was during a time when John McCain was not having to deal with an opponent or get re-elected. These politicians make me ill. We need to see a whole bunch of new faces in both the House and the Senate this November.

DIVERSITY:

This will be pretty short and sweet. I heard several Democrat Hacks and Politicians speaking last week regarding this latest appointment of Kagen as a Supreme Court Justice. These people are either all reading the same script or are all completely stupid or both. They were all more interested in Kagen's appointment adding "DIVERSITY" to the Supreme Court than anything else. Several statements were made that the court MUST be DIVERSE so that everyone can be represented.

Funny, I always thought that COMPETENCE and ADHERENCE TO THE CONSTITUTION were a bit more important. I always thought that all Americans had the same rights under our system. I was not aware that racial diversity and sexual diversity were all that important. What I would like to see one day is an attorney or judge from somewhere other than the East Coast or the West Coast receive an appointment. Just look at our present Supreme Court Justices. They will all be from an Ivy League College. You can't make me believe that there are not qualified people from the Southwest or Midwest or Southeast. But I guess that would be a bit too DIVERSE, huh?

What we need is QUALITY and COMPETENCE over DIVERSITY.

TEXTBOOKS:

In last Thursday's edition of the San Angelo (Sub) Standard Times there was an article entitled:

"Texas Curriculum Plans Expected To Generate More Heated Debates"

A mild understatement. It seems that for many years the Texas State Board of Education was under the capable control of liberals/socialists/democrats who apparently thought that re-writing history was the thing to do. Consequently we got textbooks and classroom instruction which was more concerned with the self-esteem of minority students than teaching history and government classes based upon research and long accepted facts.

Ah, but that is no longer the case and of course the liberals/socialists are fit to be tied and sound like hungry puppies with their whining. Efforts of these liberals to include sections in the History textbooks regarding Dolores Huerta as an example of good citizenship. Who was Dolores Huerta you ask? Huerta worked alongside Cesar Chavez for farm worker's rights. The majority of the board was against this since Ms. Huerta was apparently affiliated with the socialist movement. They also rejected the effort to include former San Antonio Mayor and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros and if memory serves me correctly, Mr. Cisneros resigned as HUD Secretary due to some accusations regarding his personal life and activities with the ladies.

The article did mention one of the Board's most outspoken conservatives, Republican Don McLeroy who planned to introduce some amendments one of which would require lessons suggesting that the nation's founders might not have intended a separation of church and state as it has been interpreted by the courts. Another would suggest that the United Nations POSES A THREAT TO INDIVIDUAL LIBERTIES. McLeroy believes that the Texas History Curriculum has been unfairly skewed to the left after years of control by liberal Democrats. He sees his job along with other conservatives on the board, as bringing it back into balance. Let's hear it for Mr. McLeroy.

The article went on to say that former Education Secretary Rod Paige, who served under President George W. Bush, asked the board to "stop putting politics in the state's classrooms." One must question Mr. Paige's views. What in the hell does he think has gotten our public (Government) education system as screwed up as it has been for a number of years? It also makes me question former President Bush's ability to judge character in people. How can you possibly teach the history of our country or any state without mentioning the political process?

I also heard on one of the news programs that a huge issue brought up was that the liberals/socialists DID NOT want to have Barack Hussein Obama's middle name printed in the textbooks. I guess it's like if you don't put it in there, no one will ever find out.

There is also a discussion ongoing regarding teaching school children the ultra dangerous concept of "American Exceptionalism". We sure can't have that, can we?

Anyway, at the present time, the Texas State Board of Education appears to be headed in the right direction.

I received a copy of a quote from an article from the Czech Republic. I don't know for sure who wrote or made these statements but they are as true as any I have seen in quite some time:

Apparently the appearance of the World's Most Articulate and Intelligent Human at a private lunch with Republican Senators didn't go as well as was expected. According to interviews I saw with some of the Senators as well as news stories on FOX News, Obama evidently received flak from Republican Senators on several issues with the two most prevalent being the oil spill and the border. It was reported that a Republican Senator from Kansas called Obama "thin skinned" and suggested that he needs to take a Valium before he comes in and talks to Republicans". I also heard Charles Krauthammer say that if that were the case, he would be more than happy to write the prescription. Dr. Krauthammer is plenty fine.

I was watching a new show earlier in the week and they were interviewing a Democrat Hack, I did not get his name, and all this mutt could talk about was that we were all part of a "Global Government" and that we were part of a "Global Economy" and that we had to think "Globally" and not be just concerned with America.

Well, I'm sorry but after listening to this guy for a few minutes I came to the conclusion that he wouldn't know Rahm Emanuel from a horse's backside....... oops... sorry.... that was a bad analogy. Actually Rahm Emanuel IS a horse's ass so let me think of something else... OK. He apparently had the intellectual depth of an unsoaked pinto bean.

I am sure that most Americans are a bit more interested in our country first and actually do believe that America is an EXCEPTIONAL country and chooses to remain so.

A big hello from the West Texas Headquarters For Gun Ownin' Pickup Truck Drivin' Salt Usin' McDonalds Sausage Egg McMuffin Eatin' Arizona Supportin' Jingoistic Right Wing Conspirators.

BOYCOTT:

Boycott Arizona? Not very damn likely. How about boycotting all those cities, states, counties, and companies who are urging everyone to boycott Arizona. Now let me make sure I have this straight.

We have lots of political subdivisions in California who are flat ass broke and they want the rest of the country to boycott Arizona and products made in Arizona. I say that as broke as California is, and as much as that state depends upon visitors coming there and spending loads of money, should keep their mouths shut regarding any kind of boycott. This boycott business is a double edged sword. You need to make damn sure that you don't depend on people from outside your state for a pretty good portion of that state's income.

I think this boycott which has been called for not only by California cities but cities in Colorado and elsewhere are spouting off about boycotting an entire state due to a new Arizona State Law which affects the State of Arizona. If California or New Mexico or Colorado or Mississippi or Florida or Vermont or any other state want to depend on the Federal Government to control the flood of illegal aliens entering our country then they should do exactly that and shut up.

If, on the other hand, a state like Arizona chooses to take some positive action to get some relief then they should be applauded for their courage and supported by other border states. I can only hope that some other states have the guts to pass a state law similar to that of Arizona in order to help solve a serious and dangerous problem which affects every state in our nation.

I have many friends who have been employed as U.S. Border Patrol Agents and who have and are working areas along the U.S./Mexican Border. And from what I have been able to learn from them, the main problem is not the location and capture of illegal aliens entering our country, but rather the system hitting a major road block in the holding and deportation of these illegal aliens.

I will repeat myself here; I can perfectly understand the desire of many of the Mexican people to get out of that corrupt country. I also know many American citizens who were born in Mexico and came to our country legally. I believe it unfair to those people who did things according to law to look the other way and not require EVERY PERSON seeking citizenship or residence in our country to go through the same process.

And of course let us not forget that most of the people who oppose this new Arizona State Law have never read the law. It is really difficult to get a copy. Just put in ARIZONA SB 1070 and you will find a number of sites where you can read this 16 page legislative piece and you can do as I did and print out your own copy.

But these boobs calling for a boycott need to check their hole card and make sure this is the route on which they really want to proceed. So I am going to attempt to boycott EVERY City and State who is urging the boycott of Arizona. And before I forget, to HELL with all of the California university professors who are urging a revolution against capitalism.

Way to go ARIZONA!

APOLOGY:

This week I have listened to a number of audio broadcasts of one of our own Assistant Secretaries of State admitting to APOLOGIZING to a delegation from another country for the new Arizona Border Security Legislation. To make it even worse, this was the delegation from The People's Republic of China and their so called Human Rights Delegation.

When listening to these audio clips, the first thing I noticed was that this Assistant Secretary of State, Michael Posner had a voice which made Pee Wee Herman sound like James Earl Jones. What a wimpy sounding clown. And he admitted to addressing American human rights issues early and often.

Where did Hillary Clinton find this idiot? How long will this jerk have a job? Well the answer to that is easy. As long as the Obama Administration follows their pursuit of turning the United States of America into a European-like Socialist Nation.

Is this idiot part of the Obama plan of taking "historic steps to improve our own democracy"? At least that was the statement reportedly made by Obama national-security aide, Mike McFaul. There have been some historic steps take all-right; Socialized Medicine; Takeover of the lending institutions; Takeover of the auto industry; and I would imagine that there are more government take-overs planned by the World's Most Intelligent and Articulate Human.

But if you will all look back, even to the Obama campaign, there have been a whole series of apologies offered ut by these mob-controlled mouthpieces from the Democrat/Progressive/Socialist political party.

Please pardon me if I don't believe that our country owes an apology to Communist China or any of the European countries or the South American countries or any of the Middle East countries, except maybe to Israel for leaving them high and dry. And since Mexican President Calderon is visiting the White House today, I imagine he will receive a plethora of apologies from Obama.

Actually, apologizing seems to be the only act for which the World's Most Articulate and Intelligent Human is, as William F. Buckley would have said, "Fastidiously Qualified".

SUPPORT ARIZONA!

INCOMPETENCE:

I had to separate this from the Arizona Immigration Legislation piece as I believe that this varmint needs to be singled out and I guess INCOMPETENCE seems to fit this turd better than most terms.

I am speaking of none other than Attorney General Eric Holder. I imagine that most of you have seen the film of Holder being questioned by Texas Congressman Ted Poe. During this questioning the fact came out that Attorney General Holder HAD NOT READ THE ARIZONA IMMIGRATION LEGISLATION (Arizona SB 1070). What was so amazing to me was how Holder stuttered and stumbled through his answer that in fact he had not read the bill AND according to this turd, had not even been briefed on the bill.

This guy makes President George W. Bush's last Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales, look positively brilliant. As you may have gathered, I did not have a great deal of confidence in Attorney General Gonzales but this Holder mutt makes it look as if a Law Degree and the Bar Exam must be "So Easy, A Cave Man Could Pass It".

Once again, until a better term comes along, Incompetent Turd will have to do.

Ever since the arrest of the the almost Holder-like Incompetent Times Square Bloomberg, N.Y City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been calling for stiffer firearms laws. Much of this was brought on by the fact that the automobile driven to the airport by the bomber was found to have a handgun and some ammunition inside when the vehicle was searched.

Now let's get this story straight:

The bomber's vehicle contained a handgun.

The bomber's vehicle had been parked and abandoned by the bomber.

The bomber was already on an aircraft preparing to leave the country.

The handgun in the bomber's vehicle had NOTHING to do with the planted explosives.

We still are not positive what incident made the bomber want to blow up the vehicle.

We are worrying more about the bomber's home foreclosure than we are about who else was involved in the plot.

I believe I have the picture fairly straight in my mind now. It is merely another example of idiotic reasoning by an elected official.

Bloomburg is a gun control advocate and wants to use this as another excuse to promote gun control in our country.

Let me try to clarify this for the residents of the "People's Republic of San Francisco".

If I am going to set off a bomb which could kill 3,000 plus people, I am not going to be overly concerned with your New York firearms regulations. Even this idiot Mayor should see that.

This week my wife and I were notified of the death of a good friend whom we knew from our time in Hobbs, New Mexico. Her name was Ann Fraley. Ann was a really beautiful lady who was a very good friend of my wife. Ann had been taking Chemo-therapy treatments for at least 10 years. I don't know if I have ever seen anyone with a more positive attitude than this good lady. She traveled overseas to see her family who live in Malaysia. Last August she traveled to Chicago where we met up with her and another lady friend from Hobbs.

My wife received regular e-mails from her every week and when we went through Hobbs we would always try to stop and visit with she and her husband Alex. We both noticed that for several days we had not received any e-mail messages from her and then on Tuesday we were notified of her death. She had undergone surgery and had contracted pneumonia after the surgery and this was the cause of her death.

It is sad to lose a good friend and it is particularly sad for us to lose this wonderful person. She will be missed by all who knew her.
